5 Year Interview

I love "interviewing" Audrey every year on her birthday to see how her opinions have changed.  Here's a look back at her interviews from years past . . .

3 Years Old:
Favorite Color: pink!! (she will only wear something if it's pink!)

Favorite Restaurant: The Hamby Store (that's what she calls Wendy's!)

Silliest thing daddy does: The Bear Clock (he holds her upside down and pretends she's a clock)
Silliest thing Mommy does: the computer (um, maybe I'm on it too much?!)

4 Years Old:

It looks like she's still loyal to her fave color PINK and of course, Tangled.  I really thought she was going to say Frozen, because she really loved that movie and we've been listening to the soundtrack so much, but nope, she's still a Tangled girl.  And it seems like her tastes have matured a bit.  Instead of Wendy's hamburgers and visiting friends' houses, she now wants to go to Disney World again and eat at sit down restaurants.  :)

Our girl is FIVE!!  I cannot believe it.

I am so excited!  My friend Hilary took our photos for this year's Christmas card and I am just thrilled with how they turned out.

Halloween Fun

Wow, we have had a crazy month full of Fall Fun!  :)

We started it off with our Annual Fall Arboretum Trip.  

Then it was off to the Whistlestop School Halloween Carnival.  I was a little emotional this year, as it is our last year there. When I mentioned that to the Ms. Renee, she of course responded, "All of our families come back each year, whether they're enrolled here or not!"  :)

The Halloween Count Down Clock.  I love this thing.  I'm really going to miss it!

For Halloween, we went over the Lamb's for dinner and trick or treating.

I didn't get many photos because my camera died, and we were having too much fun.  Audrey and Cade loved running up to each house together and saying Trick or Treat!

It's been a wonderful and busy month, and we wouldn't have it any other way. :)

My Little Reader

We have had so much going on this month, and I have so many pictures to share, but for now, here is the best thing ever.  Audrey is officially a reader.  This is a moment I have looked forward to since before she was born.  Reading is, you know, my thing.  I look forward to reading every night before bed.  I am constantly looking for new books to share with Audrey.  I love reading books to my class and teaching my students how to read.  I truly can't imagine anything better than the day Audrey and I spend a lazy Saturday, each reading our books.  

Her teachers have been sending homework home every few days, and we've been having fun with letter sound identification.  But on Friday her teacher sent home a little reader, with the sight words "I" and "am" in it, which they have been working on.  And AUDREY READY IT TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!
