My Super Star

School Pictures finally came in!  I wasn't sure how they would turn out, because in years past Audrey wasn't all that into it, but they are AMAZING!  Audrey never wears hear hair like this anymore because she prefers all of her hair pulled back in a ponytail so it won't get in the way of all of her playing ;), so she looks really different and grown up to me in these pictures.  I literally squealed when I picked these up from school.  I bought the whole package!  CD and everything.  I can't wait to frame and hang one up and start the tradition of hanging up all of her school pictures.

The next America's Next Top Model?  (Let's hope not, they never really go all that far anyway.)

AND in even bigger news . . . .wait for it . . . Auds was chosen as her class's STAR STUDENT OF THE WEEK!!  And it's only the second week of her school starting this!!!  I asked her teacher why she was chosen and she said that Audrey is just always so well behaved at school and such a good listener.  :))  Now, don't get me wrong, she saves her sass for her Momma, so she's no angel.  But I am SO PROUD of her.  We left school and I literally sang and danced for her in the car the whole way to the store about how proud I am of her.  I let her pick out any candy and toy she wanted as a reward.  (We were at Walgreen's, so she couldn't go too crazy.)  When we got home I pulled out the Star Student poster her teacher gave me for us to work on over the weekend and realized right away that this was going to require some time.  We got up Saturday morning and Audrey couldn't wait to get started.  Like up at 6:30 singing about how she wants to work on her poster.  Interesting since I have to literally drag her out of bed at that time during the week.

But got to work we did and I was really impressed with her work ethic.  The poster had about a million little pieces to color.  The squares in the border, the stars, the bubble letters . . . but she worked really hard.  She colored her heart out for about 3 hours on Saturday.  We worked together on it.  She did half of the border and I did the other half.  She would color one square, while telling me what color my square should be, and on we worked.  It was probably one of the most fun times I've had with her.  We just sat and colored together and talked.  Every so often one of us would say we were tired and we would take a break, but then we would get back at it.  Here's my little colorer:

Then we added some stickers for her name, pictures, and I interviewed her with the questions.  Who knew her favorite animal was a pig?!  Here's the finished product:
