Hilarious Blog

You have to check out my friend Hilary's blog, http://lambieblog.blogspot.com/

I promise you she is going to be one of those famous Mommy bloggers one day, like Dooce.com. She is absolutely hilarious and fun to read. She just posted about our playdate the other day and had me laughing out loud. I can't even try to repost something near as funny. Check it out! :)

The Trains!

Audrey LOVES trains. (Which is why we had her 2nd birthday have a train theme.) Every year Northpark Mall does a Train Exhibit that is just amazing. We took Audrey last year and this year when the holidays rolled around, we casually mentioned that we would go see the trains again when Uncle Eric got here, just like last year. Well it wasn't casual to her! Every time someone brought up Christmas or the holidays, she would say, "I go see the trains with my Uncle Eric!" She LOVED the trains.

Let's Build A Gingerbread House!

We did SO many fun things this holiday season, but I think building and decorating a gingerbread house was by far my favorite. Auds and I had already done one with our neighbors 2 weeks ago, so she knew what to do and was ready to go! :)

James bought the kit awhile ago, and we told her we would decorate it "when Uncle Eric got here". Well poor Uncle Eric, the minute he got here, she dragged him over to the house and said LOOK!! YOUR new house! We do this with you NOW Uncle Eric! (Luckily we had the Trains at Northpark to go see first with him, which was my second favorite holiday activity this year).

But when we we got home from the Mall, it was ON. Here is Auds helping (architect) Daddy (who had big plans the house!), while Uncle Eric and Grammy watch.

Helping Uncle Eric get the walls ready . . .

Taste testing the decorations before we put them on while Daddy did some more work . . .

And it went on like that. Audrey was really into decorating at first, and then when she realized that her hands would get all dirty and sticky she was D.O.N.E. She was hilarious. "Auds, do you want to put some candy on the doors?" "No, I just can't. It will get my hands dirty." :) So she just sat and watched, and snacked, while everyone else built a really good house!

So much fun!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

I LOVE Christmas and this year is already turning out to be the best one yet. Audrey is really getting into the Christmas spirit too, and she was so excited to get a Christmas tree!

It was so much fun to pick out a tree with her this year. She really had an opinion and James and I went with the tree she liked the most. The funniest part was how shocked she was when we told her the tree had to go on top of the car to get home. Audrey just couldn't compute that little fact in her brain. It was hilarious to sit with her in the car as James got the tree on the roof. "But, the tree is up there Mommy??" she kept asking me.
"Now the tree at home!"

I have to add this picture, because it was the only one taken of me all day! I promise I did more work than just play with Auds. ;)

Watching in amazement as the lights went up . . .

Picking out just the right ormament . . .

She kept hanging the ornaments and saying "That's perfect!"
The tree really did turn out just perfect!

James hanging more decorations . . .

And then Audrey had to call Sara and tell her all about how her house was now decorated for Christmas! "Hello Sara, I have a tree. Do you a tree?"

Now let's hope she stays off the naughty list and gets all the toys that she wants! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I won't be with Audrey this Thanksgiving, she gets to go to Houston to visit her Nana and Papa with James, but I wanted to wish all of my bloggie friends an early Happy Thanksgiving. I get to go to Tulsa with my mom to visit my brother, so everyone will be busy in our family! :) We're lucky to have so many. But I wanted to wish everyone a holiday filled with thanksgiving, family (whoever they may be), and love.

Here are some pictures of Audrey already doing that at her Thanksgiving feast at school. Before we could eat, they all had to say a prayer in thanksgiving for all of their blessings. It was too cute. You can't see it, but Audrey has her hands together in prayer. And of course, celebrating with her school family, especially Sara.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
